Ayhan introduced Mediterranean cuisine to Long Island over 35 years ago, starting with the original Shish Kebab Restaurant in Port Washington. In 1990 Ayhan opened the Fish Kebab restaurant across the street in a converted bank building. Fish Kebab intro- duced Grilled Whole Fish to Long Island and still wins rave reviews for its Market Fresh Fish dishes.
